My name is Jovial a.k.a. Happy. I have been on this journey called life and I wanted to start documenting my experiences. Hopefully this blog will be inspirational or helpful to anyone reading. So, a little bit about me...I am a military brat, but I've spent most of my time living in Northern Virginia. When I was younger I lived in Okinawa, Japan for a few years. Peope say your earlier years are the most impressionable, so that may be why I like a lot of asian inspired things. My wedding was actually asian themed.
I also spent a few years in Raleigh, North Carolina attending school. Yes, you've guessed it the best school ever...North Carolina State University (NCSU)!! I graduated from NCSU with a B.S. in Business Management with a concentration in Information Systems. In my last semester at NCSU I thought to myself...why wait to get a masters degree...let's knock this out a.s.a.p. before I get lazy. So, after graduating from NCSU, I returned to Northern VA, started working and attending the second best school ever.....George Mason University (GMU)!!! I graduated from GMU with a M.S. in Health Management with a concentration in Information Systems.
After I graduated from GMU, I got married!!! I met my husband while attending NCSU! He is also an alum of NCSU. Go Pack!!

I think I've done a lot at this point in my life and now it is time to take a SHORT breather before I decide to go back to school, have kids, or do other big things! I'm taking this time to reflect on my life and I'm going to do it via blogging. I will document my natural hair, artistic, and fashion journey in hopes of helping me to relax, relate, and release!
